(0:02:25) [Instructions en francais ci-dessous] Ingredients (makes about 20 samosas) 1 1/2 lb ground beef, 1 T oil, 1 T grated ginger, 1 t salt, 1/4 t curry powder, 1 1/2 t garlic, 3 green onions (minced), 1 T chopped cilantro or mint. 1 t flour + 1 T water (for paste) Phyllo dough or square egg roll wrappers. Fry the grated ginger in oil over medium heat for one minute. Add the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces. Stir in the garlic, salt, pepper and curry powder and continue frying the meat until most of the liquid has been reabsorbed. Remove from the heat and add the green onions and cilantro or mint. Cut the phyllo dough into thirds. Make a paste from flour and water. Fold the dough to make a triangular pouch, using the paste to hold the dough in place. Fold the dough to envelop the filling as demonstrated in the video. Tuck the end into place and use the paste to seal the samosa. Fry them in hot oil until light golden brown and allow to drain on paper towels before serving. clip video
